Bl Margaret of Castello Novena

Blessed Margaret Family Help Center, Inc.

A novena prayer is a prayer that is said nine times.  Normally, once a day for nine days, although this isn't a hard and fast rule.  The first novena was said in the nine day period between the Ascension of Our Lord and Pentecost when the Apostles were assembled in Jerusalem.  This Novena to Blessed Margaret of Castello was written back when we were trying to get the 501c3 status for the Blessed Margaret Family Help Center, Inc. and were having difficulties overcoming the usual bureaucratic red tape of the IRS.  It worked.  As the Feast of Blessed Margaret of Castello is April 13th, the optimum time to say this novena is from April 4 to April 12, saying the novena once each day.  This, of course isn't mandatory, I say the prayer numerous times throughout the day just to stay close to Little Margaret.  It can be said for any worthwhile purpose but Blessed Margaret of Castello is recognized as the patroness of the unborn and unwanted.  She could also be a patroness for the blind, the homeless, those suffering from temptations of the flesh, for home owners, and for protection from home fires.  In any case, here is our Novena to Blessed Margaret of Castello.

O Blessed Margaret of Castello, O holy servant of God, patroness of the unborn and the unwanted; exemplary role model of humility, poverty, and love of God as well as shining example of charity to neighbor especially to the outcasts of society, we confidently pray and beseech thee to intercede on our behalf to our beloved Lord, enlisting the aid of His Holy Mother along with all the angels and saints for he spiritual and material success of the Blessed Margaret Family Help Center and for the following intentions: (mention your intentions here).

In thanksgiving for thy gracious assistance, O holy Virgin, we will spread devotion to thee amongst our friends and associates as well as pray that Holy Mother the Church will recognize thy favor with God and thy position amongst the ranks of the saints in heaven above by canonizing thee, “Saint Margaret of Castello”.  Amen.
