Welcome to the Blessed Margaret Family Help Center, Inc. website! Named in honor of our patroness, Blessed Margaret of Castello, the Blessed Margaret Center, as it is more commonly called, is a non-profit corporation to aid families, in and out of crisis, using traditional principles of Catholic spirituality.
Incorporated in the state of Ohio since 2003, the Bl. Margaret Center's two apostolates are the Catholic 12-Steps and homeschooling education for Catholic families.
The Catholic 12-Steps is an addiction-recovery program that is more fully explained on The Hook and I page. Simply put, the program is probably best described as returning the familiar 12-steps programs back to their Catholic roots and seeing the struggle against one's sinful addiction, or hook, as the path to the addict's recovery and sanctification.
Our journey into homeschooling began in 1997 when I was the assistant principal for a small traditional Catholic school in Cincinnati. I created a classical curriculum for grades pre-K thru high school for the academy and our experiences since then to include providing in-home tutoring for homeschooling families as well as teaching our own grandchildren have provided us with a mature curriculum as well as a wealth of knowledge that we want to share with other Catholic homeschooling families. In the future, I will be providing our curriculum on this website.
Because the Blessed Virgin Mary is so important to us as the Mediatrix of All Graces, the Blessed Margaret Family Help Center, Inc. has a special devotion to Our Lady of Grace. Without her special assistance in providing the graces we need, it is impossible for any of us to cut the line to our hooks, let alone be able to achieve the salvation of our souls. Because the Blessed Virgin Mary is so important to us as the Mediatrix of All Graces, the Blessed Margaret Family Help Center, Inc. has a special devotion to Our Lady of Grace.
