Under construction!!

Alcoholics Anonymous has been successful for millions of people by appealing to the natural side of man.  It's roots are really Catholic theology with all the "objectionable" Catholicity leached out of it.  What Blessed Margaret Center is proposing to you is that we take the 12 points from the Big Book and inject back the Catholic spirituality into them.  If AA can be successful on the natural plane,  think how much more effective your labors can be with a good dose of grace.  You see, AA makes overcoming alcoholism the end and not the means to a separate end.  God uses the sinner's alcoholism with all of its evil side effects (e.g. broken marriage, dysfunctional family, car wrecks, etc.) to waken within the sinner the need to repent and to turn his life around.  Essentially, to bring him low in order to raise him back up - to heaven.  This is truly diabolical when you think about it.  If satan can short-circuit God's way of chastising the sinner by simply just achieving the same natural result (sobriety) but killing the desire in the sinner to come back to God, what a perfectly beautiful plan (I speak as satan here).

This page is under construction because I have a certain man, a friend of mine, in mind who God wants desperately to join in the work of the Blessed Margaret Center.  He can write so much more effectively than I can because he's seen it all from the alcoholic's perspective but he doesn't see it yet.  He's an alcoholic, a traditional Catholic, married with children.  I need him to awake to God's call, to finally tear free from the shackles of sin in his own life, to take up the mantle of leadership over his marriage and his home.  Please pray for him.  Blessed Mother, help!

In the meantime, please jump to the Catholic 12 Point Program.
